Dear You,
We all have moments when we want to speed up our lives, and that's Ok. You may feel as though you should have the American Dream already. You feel as if you should have your dream job,a relationship, and everything should be perfect. Sometimes you may look around at your friends, and notice that they have what you want, and you may even get a little jealous. Just because their light is shining, doesn't mean that yours isn't.
For me, I often compare myself to others when I see them doing good, or when I see them get something that I want. I used to wish that I could go back in time and change something so that I could have what they have, or I would be bitter, and not help them towards their goal. That's no way to live life, though. It's actually not living at all.You should stop comparing yourself to others, what they have may not be for you. You're focusing on the wrong things.
Instead of focusing on what you don't have, focus on being a better person today than you were yesterday. Focus on being happy. Life literally flies by. When we were kids all we did was complain about how much we wanted to be older, and now look at you. What would you do now in order to have nap time back, or not have to pay bills. Life is fragile, and you should take the time to experience every part of it, the good and the bad. What God has for you will always be for you, His plan is always greater than your own. Life moves too quickly, for you not to enjoy it. So take the time to appreciate this stage in your life, because it only happens once.
