It's funny, you know, how after you do something you realize that was your last time. Or maybe you don't realize that was your last time until a year later. It's kinda of like coming to terms with a loss. Or, like closing a chapter of your life.
The last day of school.
The last first day of school.
The last time you see a friend, a family member, a teacher.
The last time you let someone walk all over you, the last time you try to date the "bad boy."
Whatever the last is, you never truly know when the actual "last" is sometimes.
I'm writing this after the completion of my "last" dance performance of my dance career (as of now). I say "last" because of course, I cannot predict the future, but this is my last guaranteed time to perform on stage. This is also my last semester of school.
The last month in this apartment that I've lived in for two years now.
The last time I fight for a good seat on the bus to class every day.
The last time I walk through the buildings of GVSU as a student.
During this bittersweet time in my life with all of these chapters coming to close, I encourage anyone and everyone to never take anything for granted. Take the time to see your parents. Take the time to see some old friends. Take your time doing anything. You never know when the "last" of anything will be.
