Some of the best movies of all time just so happen to be set in summer, so what better than to watch movies about summer, during summer?

Spanning from the '70s to the '00s, here are some fantastic throwbacks to watch on a lazy summer night that everyone will enjoy.

1. "Grease" (1978)

Good girl Sandy and greaser Danny fell in love over the summer. When they unexpectedly discover they're now in the same high school, will they be able to rekindle their romance?

2. "High School Musical 2" (2007)

School's out for summer and the East High Wildcats are ready to make it the time of their lives. Watch their summertime misadventures as they work at a wealthy country club owned by Sharpay and Ryan's family.

3. "The Parent Trap" (1998)

Twin girls separated by divorce switch sides to spend time with the parent each misses. But they also try to reunite the family.

4. "Dirty Dancing" (1987)

Spending the summer at a Catskills resort with her family, Frances "Baby" Houseman falls in love with the camp's dance instructor, Johnny Castle.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
