I look down and what do I see?
A little dog, staring at me.
Her tail is wagging at a flutter.
I know what that means without an utter.
It means that she’s happy to see me.
Yes, as happy as she can be.
But, something else distracts me from my view,
Her eyes which have an interesting coo.
They sparkle with innocence, for she only sees my goodness,
My words of love, my smile, and my physical fairness.
They are dabbed with curiosity, for she will never understand,
the World’s beautiful plans.
But, she still wants to know what they are,
even though she can only reach so far.
Lastly and not least, her eyes shine with love,
For I am her beloved.
Dogs will stand by you in the best and the worst,
And they will always put you first.
They are devoted to you and stand by your side,
For you, and you alone, are their pride.
That is what your dogs are seeing through their eyes.
