Winter break is on it's way out and school is coming back to a start. For people with anxiety, this can be a very difficult time. You're going from being with family and seeing only close friends to going back to school with a large amount of people around at all times. Leaving the quietness of your home could make you anxious on it's own. Here are some tips on how to make yourself more comfortable once you get back to school.
1. Go to bed as early as you can
Being around people is rough for people with social anxieties or anxiety in general. I tend to sleep earlier when I'm at school than when I'm at home. Most people find it strange since you should have more of a reason to stay up at school but for me it's the opposite. If you're having anxiety about your sleep schedule or are having trouble getting a good amount of sleep, try to sleep earlier than usual.
2. Nap when you need to
If you feel tired, you nap. Don't hold back because you're afraid of missing out or you feel like you're wasting your day. There is no problem with sleeping when you need to.
3. Listen to your body
Overall, an article can't tell you what is best for you. Know your limits and strengths and do what you need to to make yourself feel better.
