Three Tips For Acing Your Final Exams
North Henderson Daily News

It is starting to be that time of year. The time of year where the calendar page flips to December and there are only a couple weeks left in the semester. Students look forward to winter break and being done with school for just a little while.

The only thing standing in the way are those pesky final exams, which can be the difference between a passing grade and a failing grade. The pressure to do well can be overwhelming to many students.

Here are some tips though to help you get through your exams.

#1- Study!

It may seems like the obvious answer but it’s true. The more you study, the better you will do on the exam. Don’t just depend on the review materials given to you; you should know this stuff to begin with. Take advantage of it.

#2- Find a Healthy Balance

Between studying and all the other things going on, free time and things that take away from studying, such as sleep, are usually the first things to go. Don’t be one of those people that do that.

Take some time between study sessions to give your brain a rest and do something that will lower your stress. You’ll be thankful you did in the long run.

#3- Don’t Stress So Hard

While you should certainly be focused on exams and doing your best, don’t stress about it so much. Sometimes stressing over exams too much can do more harm than good. Be confident that you will do your best as long as you’ve studied and know what’s coming, you’ll be fine.

Good luck to all of you on final exams. We can do it!

But, I know that there are plenty of times I forgot to give you a simple thank you or an appreciative smile. I thank you for everything that you have done for me and will continue to do for me. Here are some examples of those times where you had my back and I forgot to pat your back for saving me:

College is hard. As people ages 18-22, we’re just trying to figure out what we’re doing with our lives, our careers, our eating habits, exercise routines, sleep patterns, and other necessities for adult life. We definitely don’t take proper care of ourselves; it’s basically impossible when we have essays, tests and readings due and somehow we’re supposed to eat right, exercise and sleep. We’re doomed to get sick. I have zero experience in science but when I get sick there are certain things I do to make myself better.

Now that it seems “talking” is the new way to date, and will stay that way until another idiotic term is used to describe the people who can’t settle down and just date someone, I feel as if it’s time to go over the unwritten rules of “talking.”

Rule 1. Having feeling without feeling.
