3 Simple Reasons Why You Should Watch "The Office"

"I think an ordinary paper company like Duner-Mifflin was a great subject for a documentary. There's a lot of beauty in ordinary things. Isn't that kind of the point?" - Pam

3 Simple Reasons Why You Should Watch "The Office"

From laughter, to tears, drama, arguments, love and friendship, "The Office" is a documentary-style television series that takes you on a journey of something so simple, yet so unique and valuable, and that is work. Despite the simplicity that exists in an office for a paper company, this television show offers entertainment through the lens of the co-workers and their shared experiences. If you haven't already taken the opportunity to watch this show, here are three simple reasons as to why you definitely should:

1. The relationship between Jim and Pam is beautiful

What starts as solely a relationship of co-workers and friends between Jim and Pam, slowly begins to flourish into an inseparable, loving bond. Although these two never seem to have the timing right, making a romantic relationship between them seem hopeless, their friendship is what remains consistent. Eventually, everything falls into place and you couldn’t be happier that these two best of friends grow into the sweetest, genuine couple. Before becoming two lovebirds, Jim and Pam are partners in crime and best buds, which is what allows you to appreciate the love they develop for one another so much more.

2. Every character is uniquely hilarious

What makes this television series so entertaining are the absurdly unique characteristics of everyone in the cast of the show. Although the boss Michael Scott can be annoying, his extreme inappropriate behavior is what makes him funny. Moreover, the gullible trait in salesman Dwight makes him the best person to perform pranks on over and over again. Ultimately, from appearances, to personality, behavior and actions, every co-worker is entirely unique and different from one another, giving you various perspectives of entertainment.

3. The bond co-workers have is perfectly displayed

Not everyone in the office gets along. In fact, the majority of the show is made up of arguments, disagreements and obstacles between all of the co-workers. However, every difficult situation is concluded with humor, making the genre of this television show extremely diverse. Whether it is friendship, gossip, love, competition, hate, compassion or sympathy displayed between the co-workers at Dunder Mifflin, everyone has a connection one way or another. What makes these connections wonderful is the growth and change that takes place amongst the co-workers at the office. They might have all started as just acquaintances, but at the end of the show, whether they liked it or not, they were a family.

"The Office" is available on Netflix! Go watch and enjoy!

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
