What makes this television series so entertaining are the absurdly unique characteristics of everyone in the cast of the show. Although the boss Michael Scott can be annoying, his extreme inappropriate behavior is what makes him funny. Moreover, the gullible trait in salesman Dwight makes him the best person to perform pranks on over and over again.
