In the past week, America has two major marches occur, both dealing with a controversial topic regarding women's rights. However, the two marches ethic behavior seemed to be worlds apart, from attire to language.
Here are the three reasons the March For Life is more respectable than the Women's March:
3. No celebrities discussed their past thoughts of attacking the White House.
Madonna stunned the world when she openly spoke about having had thoughts of "blowing up the White House" at the Women's March. These barbarian threats are grounds for arrest for almost all people, yet the Women's March got away with it.
However, at the pro-life event, there was no spoken threat, but a body of people peacefully coming together in support of something they feel passionately about.
2. No one shouted profanity.
The Women's March was an event which did not behave in an appropriate peaceful ethic behavior. The rowdy crowd shouted profanity, and even behaved in a non-respectable manner while protesting for more rights and respect.
The March For Life did not utter profanity, but calmly walked in support of giving unborn humans a chance for life. They spoke and even prayed in a respectable manner, not only behaving ethically but also in a civil manner.
1. No one dressed as a vagina.
To say this was a disgrace would be an understatement, but for some reason multiple women found it appropriate for the Women's March. It's very difficult to respect or even listen to someone so ridiculously dressed, yet the Women's March felt it appropriate.
In the picture above, we see what seems to be a completely different atmosphere at the March For Life. I could go on and on about how I respect the March For Life for its values; yet, one in opposition could say I only favored the movement because it mirrored my own beliefs. I also greatly respect the peaceful and moral behavior of the March for Life and all of its participants, and I feel that the Women's March was a complete disgrace to our nation. In America, we have the right to protest and freedom of speech; yet, most Americans seem to forget we do not have the right to be respect. Respect is not something you are entitled to, but something you earn. Therefore, if you really would like to make a difference and grow your support and consideration in the government, make your movement respectable.
