Recently, while exploring Instagram, I stumbled across someone wearing a pair of silver boots. Though at first I didn't think much of it, the idea of silver shoes has since worked its way deep into my fashion senses. Ever since then, I see silver shoes everywhere, and let me tell you why: silver is a fairly neutral color ( like black, white, or grey) except, because it's adorning a shoe, it transforms the shoe into a statement piece. A statement piece that goes with everything?

Here I've collected some of my favorite examples of silver shoes, in case the idea of them has not yet become attractive to you.
Block-heeled ankle boots. Silver block-heeled ankle boots. These are one of my favorite things right now; the heel isn't too high, the block heel provides stability, and the ankle-height is perfect. Worn with rolled-up jeans and a navy blouse (navy being a fantastic choice to match silver boots), this outfit is the perfect mix of stylish and casual! Additionally, the polkadots calm the edginess of the silver boots.
And, of course, here we have the chunky Doc-Martens-style lace-up shoe in an unusual silver. They pair well with black and white and simple lines, aided by feminine socks to balance them. What with fall coming up, I can picture this outfit with black mom jeans as a warmer alternative to summer shorts.
Finally, we have this outfit. I'm not quite sure what to call it or even how I would wear it personally, considering it's the type of slightly outlandish fashion I've only seen in the big cities. I do truly enjoy all the layers and textures, however, and the style of shoe is absolutely adorable. Perhaps one day I'll find the confidence to wear something as extreme as this, but until then, I'll admire from here.
