As Halloween is just around the corner, and everyone knows that the holiday really officially starts on the first of the October, here are some of the best horror movies to creep yourself out. And these ones may be older, but they'll always be an example to some of the more modern films.
Scream
Known as one of the most iconic teen slasher movies of all times, this film contains just the right amount of murder along with satire. It's unpredictable and holds plot twists like no other.
Psycho
Although Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho doesn't show much in terms of gore, it is a psychological thriller like no other. It is a quietly unsettling movie. Everything about it is great, including the plot, characters, and even the angle of the camera shots. It may be almost 60 years old now, but it still holds up well.
Halloween

Because what better movie to watch on Halloween than one with the same name as the holiday? This flick pulls no punches in terms of violence and killing. A cautionary warning; if you watch this one, you'll probably be on edge all night.
The night before Halloween (or the night of) is the best time to settle in and watch these movies with some friends and a big bowl of popcorn. Popcorn that you will most likely end up spilling, due to all the jump scares.
