One can never go wrong with a big T-shirt or shorts. I practically live in this outfit during the summer, pairing it with my Chacos or Birkenstocks. They may not be the most attractive combination but gosh, they sure are comfy. This trend has spread like a plague amongst high school and college students. Many are sporting an extra large T-shirt that often makes others question if they are wearing any shorts underneath. I, too, am often found wandering around the house in this outfit, especially after a long day at work and I am in need of a nap. For many college students, this is often their go-to outfit each day.

I can't blame them, sometimes I would rather be comfortable than stylish, but I also think that it is important to dress nice for class.

I have read many articles on how dressing up for class in college is a huge mistake and how I will inevitably grow out of it. However, as a business major, I believe that it is important to dress well. In high school, I would occasionally wear a big t-shirt and some running tights if I wasn't feeling it or if I had morning pool practice with my cross country team. However, I just simply found that I was at the top of my game when I dressed nice. I felt confident and professional.

Confidence is important in college and a great outfit can help boosts those levels. I would often pair some nice jeans with my favorite blazer and flats. I have nothing against those that chose comfort over style, but I personally found that if I dressed down for school, I wasn't motivated and I would want to sleep during class.

I also believe in the saying, "Dress for the job you want". I'm hoping to be a successful business woman and I want to start getting into the habit of dressing for it now than later. In addition, you never know when a great networking opportunity arises. It is important to show potential references/employers that you want to be successful, dress for success. It also gives a great first impression to your peers and professors. Plus, dressing nice is my motivation to eat well and exercise so I can still fit into my favorite slacks.

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

It's not all morning coffees and singing along to the radio.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.
