Thoughts You Have When Trying To Get Spring Break Ready

Spring break is quickly approaching and everyone is trying to get their beach bod for bikini season. This, however, is much harder than it may appear. This means saying no to 12 A.M. Dominos runs after a night out, this means no In N Out runs after a six-hour study binge, this means many more gym sessions and many less Netflix movie nights. Getting Cabo ready can be tough, so remember it’s OK to give up. Keep these key instructions and thoughts in mind when preparing for that spring break bod:

1. Start early because chances are you are bound to get derailed a couple times along the way.

2. Gym together. Friends keep friends motivated, so never leave a friend behind. Going to the gym together will make it a lot easier to stay that extra 30 minutes that you might have not before or to work a little harder. Everything is easier with a support system.

3. Take time to reward yourself. You have a long road ahead of you, it’s OK to treat yourself occasionally.

4. No need to feel guilty about taking a break from the kale and spinach for a meal or two.

5. It’s starting to get harder to eat healthy. And you never want to see the color green again.

6. And you start to think it might be easier to give up than go through this kind of torture.

7. You begin hating those girls that can eat anything they want and never gain a pound.

8. You start to question if what you're eating is even healthy for you. You wonder if you've even lost any weight at all.

9. Your friends start to get annoyed with you because all you talk about is your diet and how hard it is to stay on track.

10. You justify everything you eat with at least you went to the gym that day.

11. It’s getting down to the last week or so before you are about to be shirtless and pantless in public 24/7 and all you can think about is all the food you want to eat once it’s over.

12. And if all else fails, you can always buy one of those cute cover-up wraps and just never take it off. And if you wear this beach cover-up, it's as if you dieted for months before break but in reality you didn't. It's a win-win.

13. Then once spring break is over you can binge eat all of your favorite foods you have been deprived of for so long. And the best part about it is you couldn't care less. Bring on the beach cover-up.

I think we have established just how hard it can be to get spring break ready. So therefore do your best to keep your sanity and to not obsess too much. Just eat some of that green shit everyone can't get enough of and hit the gym and you'll be bikini-ready before you know it. And if that doesn't work out, don't stress about it too much, there is always next year.

an image of taylor swift standing center stage surrounded by her backup dancers in elegant peacock esque outfits with a backdrop of clouds and a box rising above the stage the image captures the vibrant aesthetics and energy of her performance during the lover era of her eras tour

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
