The process of applying for jobs feels like an endless cycle of stress, excitement, more stress, and then finally a happy outcome, the one you've been working so hard towards. Trying to land your dream job right out of college is insanely anxiety provoking, and there's no envy like the one you have for your friends who were hired after their summer internship. These are the 25 thoughts that go through your head while applying for jobs.

1. Maybe I should just fail all my classes so I can stay in college forever?

2. No, it's ok I'm going to be fine. Everyone gets a job eventually! Right?

3. Why are there so many job sites? Why can't everyone post positions on ONE site?

4. What if I don't look at the right site and miss my dream job?

5. I've definitely never had this many tabs open on my computer at one time.

6. What even is my dream job, I just want to do cool things and make a lot of money without having to work that hard.

7. Oh, this job looks cool I want this job! Wait I REALLY want this job. Like I need this job this is the only job in the world for me.

8. I'm totally qualified I can do all these things they listed! How am I supposed to let them know how qualified I am? My resume is useless!

9. But what if no one ever wants to hire me? The future is scary and this is hard, how does everyone do this so successfully?

10. I'm going to be living at home with my parents until I die, I hope they're ok with that.

11. What is all of this "unpaid internship" nonsense, how am I supposed to continue living this lifestyle with no money!

12. There's no way I can pay my rent on this salary this is a joke.

13. I will be eating ramen and PB&J's for the rest of my life if I get this job.

14. The whole never graduating thing is sounding more and more appealing.

15. Maybe I should reconsider moving home and living with my parents until I'm 40 because this job search is useless.

16. I'm pretty sure I've edited my resume and cover letter 300 times. I hope I never have to do this ever again.

17. How cool is it going to be when I live in a sweet apartment and go to company happy hour and do real life adult things?

18. TOO BAD NO ONE IS GOING TO HIRE ME!

19. It's fine, I'm fine, I believe in myself. Just have to think positively and not freak out.

20. I think this would be a lot easier if I actually had any teeny tiny idea of what I want to do with the rest of my life.

21. This job looks cool, but then I have to move to an entirely new city and live by myself and have no friends and that just sounds like a bummer so no thanks.

22. Do people actually use LinkedIn?

23. Do I need to update my information and upload a recent picture that isn't from my high school graduation photos? Should I be endorsing people and liking articles so it looks like I know what I'm doing?

24. Oh great, now all of these creepy old men are messaging me and treating this like a dating site. How awesome.

25. I need to delete all of my social media accounts before someone important finds me and sees all of the stupid things I've been doing in college.

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?
