There are some things we wait for our whole lives, life changing events. For me, it’s this interview. An interview for an internship. What a life changing event. Everyone goes through the same things the night before an interview, all the thoughts racing, good things, bad things, everything in between. Here are a few things that run through our heads:
Wait, the interview is actually tomorrow right?
What should I wear?
Wow, this is a great episode of "One Tree Hill."
How long does it take to get there?
Did I fix my resume enough?
Are my references good enough?
What should I ask them?
Oh my gosh my pants, I still need to wash them.
I really want to watch TV.
No, I can’t, make sure everything is perfect.
What will they ask me?
My strengths and weaknesses are soooo hard to come up with.
I wish my reference sheet was done.
Oh! My laundry, it needs to go in the dryer!
Synonyms, synonyms, synonyms, bigger words, make me sound smarter, hmmm.
I wish I could just be a character in "One Tree Hill," just saying.
YES! REFERENCE PAGE DONE!
I think I need a snack; all of this brain power is making me hungry.
Do I have to iron?
Why isn’t the printer working?
Thank goodness for Netflix.
FINALLY! RESUME COMPLETE!
Waiting on that laundry still.
Wow, I just got really nervous, interviews are actually intimidating.
Well, now that it’s 11:00pm, I guess it’s time to sleep.
That’s funny, sleeping isn’t possible, my thoughts are racing as I lay in bed.
