At this point in college, most students are preparing for or are taking their midterm exams. As if exams were not enough, we get thrown projects and assignments from every angle until we have no empty space in our planners. That being said, here are eight gifs that perfectly describe midterm week. The good (just kidding there is none), the bad, and the ugly.

1.

Every time you finish one assignment, another one is loaded up ready to hit you in the face. Midterm week never really ends, and you never feel accomplished. You cross off one thing on your planner just to add an assignment your professor decided to add to the syllabus due this week.

2.

There are barely any seats in the library and when you finally find someone from your class, you both stare at each other with the look of defeat and despair. Does anyone ever know how to study for midterms?

3.

The day of midterms has arrived and you head to your exam with coffee in hand. There is look of determination in your face, at least until the teacher hands out your test.

4.

There are some famous teacher words we hear around midterms and finals, "There is no need to panic." So professor, when is the correct time to panic? Before, during, or after the exam? My response: all of the above.

5.

Sometimes you just need a bit of encouragement for your exam. However, writing on your hand is usually frowned upon. I recommend post it notes of encouragement all over your desk.

6.

So, you finished your midterms and your roommate asks you how you feel. I'd say this gif is a pretty accurate description of sorrow.

7.

It is the end of midterm week and students start to receive grades. There are always two kinds of people: those who do well and those who don't and well this is pretty accurate.

8.

When someone asks the teacher what to do with their midterm.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

It's not all morning coffees and singing along to the radio.

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!
