18 Thoughts You Have Playing The Most Dangerous Game, AKA Shopping Sephora On A College Budget

I have grown up loving makeup. I am an avid collector and love spending my free time watching makeup reviews on YouTube. The worst part about the makeup addiction is when your wallet is thin. Ulta and Sephora trips are all look and no touch. Which is so disappointing.

These are some casual thoughts I have playing the dangerous game that is strolling through the isles of any makeup store.

1. Ooohh, this is new!!!

But it is all sold out.

2. Wow. this looks super pigmented

IS NOT...

3. Is this a new eyeshadow palette?

Six out of the seven shades have an over-sexualized name.

4. This new foundation by _____ has so many good reviews...

But it doesn't have a pump... Honestly, why do companies even make foundation with no pump?

5. I have always wanted to try this. But I think I'll use my gift card on something else that I don't actually need. #TreatYourself

6. Does this come as a deluxe sample or mini size?

7. OMG, *insert YouTuber's name here* collaborated to make this!

8. I wonder how many points I have...

At Ulta, points give you money off, and at Sephora, you get free gifts!

9. Is there a coupon online?

What a life saver..

10. Is there a sale?

BOGO 50% is what I live for.

11. These are cute.. but do I REALLY need fake lashes???

12. Crap I forgot my birthday gift...

Both Ulta and Sephora give birthday gifts.. but they also have a deadline.

13. This is beautiful!!

$85.00

14. Maybe a lipstick instead...

15. I can actually afford the lipstick

Unlike eyeshadow palettes and foundation.. lipstick is ALWAYS cheaper!

17. Why is this line so long, is it even worth it?

18. The answer to the previous question is always YES

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Blair Waldorf
Stop Hollywood

For those of you who have watched "Gossip Girl" before (and maybe more than just once), you know how important of a character Blair Waldorf is. Without Blair, the show doesn’t have any substance, scheme, or drama. Although the beginning of the show started off with Blair’s best friend Serena returning from boarding school, there just simply is no plot without Blair. With that being said, Blair’s presence in the show in much more complex than that. Her independent and go-getter ways have set an example for "Gossip Girl" fans since the show started and has not ended even years after the show ended. Blair never needed another person to define who she was and she certainly didn’t need a man to do that for her. When she envisioned a goal, she sought after it, and took it. This is why Blair’s demeanor encompasses strong women like her.

singing
Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
