12 Thoughts PNMs Have When Going Through Sorority Recruitment

With recruitment season approaching within the next few months, it's a relief that I'll no longer be the scared PNM unsure of what I'm about to encounter. While it isn't terrible to be a PNM, there's definitely a few struggles...

1. Finding outfits that are wholesome yet trendy

I don't want these girls thinking I'm a straight up hoe, but I also wanna let them know that I have some sense of style.

2. Forgetting to bring a change of shoes while in between houses

I really love walking around all day in heels when I don't have to!

3. Pretending to be interested even though you've been asked the same question twenty times

Where's my hometown? What's my major? I get that I have to be asked these things but I'm about to rip my hair out if I have to answer it one more time.

4. When you go to your very first house and you hear them begin to bang on the door and chant

5. When a house you really liked drops you

"I didn't even really like that house anyways."

6. When a house you don't like at all keeps asking you back

I'm sure you're all very nice girls but........

7. When you get asked back to a house and talk to the same sister you did last time

Future sisters?? Maybe??

8. When a sister compliments your outfit

9. When all of the PNMs come together and gossip over which houses they liked and disliked

But nothing's more awkward than when you all start to disagree.

10. When the rumors of which sororities haze start coming about

Though if you know anything about my university, that shit don't fly.

11. When you get your invitations to certain houses for the next round and one girl takes it too seriously

We can't all have thick skin.

12. When it's finally Bid Day and you open your bid to your top house

Now that Halloween is over, it's time to focus on the Holiday Season. Don't get me wrong, I think Thanksgiving is great and can't wait for it, but nothing gives me greater joy than watching Freeform's 25 Days of Christmas, lighting peppermint scented candles, decking the halls, and baking gingerbread cookies. So while we approach the greatest time of the year, let's watch the 15 best Christmas movies of all time.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.
