Going to Disney as a college student is one of the best times ever. It's a popular spot for spring break and graduation celebrations. There's nothing more exciting than taking a trip to Disney with your friends. Here are some thoughts college students have while planning a trip to Disney:

What color is my MagicBand going to be?

This thing is going to be attached to your wrist for your entire trip. You have to make sure it's customized to your liking! Whether it be your favorite color or one that matches all of your outfits. You have to make sure you love your MagicBand!

What are we going to Disney Bound As?

This was one of the first things I thought of as soon as my friend and I decided to go to Disney. Since adults can't dress up, many people instead call it "Disney Bound," which is when they wear outfits that are normal clothes, but inspired by characters. You will instantly start planning which characters you want to "dress up" as.

We NEED to go on *insert ride name here*

There's that one (or more) ride we're all overly excited to go on.

What park are we going to hit first?

Decisions, decisions! There are so many parks and you have to make that hard decision of which one to hit first. Then you need to figure out the order of the rest of the parks for the remainder of your trip, too!

Where are we going to eat?

Who doesn't get excited for the many options in Disney for food?! From snacks such as dole whip, to full on dinner at Bongos, all college students get excited thinking about what they're going to eat.

I need to meet all the princesses.

ALL. OF. THEM. You have to plan accordingly to find the princesses around the parks so that you can meet them all. You swear, you're in college.

I can drink around the world!

One of the most exciting things about being at Disney as an adult is that you can drink your way around the world at Epcot!

Wow, this is going to be expensive, but so worth it

Planning trips to Disney definitely hurts your bank account. Starting at the flight and ending with the MagicBands, your bank account lets out a cry with every click of the "purchase" button. Although you may slightly regret it when you see how much you're spending, you know in the end that spending the money is so worth it.

Is it time to leave for the trip yet?

Once you officially book the trip, the countdown begins. It can't come fast enough!

I might be more excited now than I ever was as a child.

For some reason, Disney tends to be much more exciting when you are older. You are bursting with excitement and can't wait to take a trip to the happiest place on earth with your friends.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
