One of the most stressful things about finishing up the school year is having to pack everything up. It is insane to think of all the stuff that is accumulated during the year, essentially doubling what you originally brought with you. It obviously takes time to get everything out of the small dorm room. This leaves some time for self-reflection and questioning how exactly you found yourself with all of this stuff.
"Why did I wait until now to start packing?"
"Oh, look the shoe I lost the second week of classes."
"It was so dumb to bring a Keurig."
"Maybe this would be easier if my room wasn’t a mess."
"I don’t want to take all of my canvases off the walls."
"I am really going to miss my roommate."
"Should I put it in the donate pile?"
"I am so excited to sleep on a bed bigger than a twin XL again."
"I accumulated so many T-shirts this year."
"Where will this stuff fit when I get home?"
"Why did I bring 15 coffee mugs with me."
"Why am I using my last day packing?"
"Maybe I can just throw it all in my car unpacked."
"I hate folding."
"Have I eaten today?"
"I can’t forget my phone charger."
"Awe, look how cute we were in the photos from last semester."
"Why do I own this dress?"
"This stuff is going to take so many trips."
"Thank God for the elevator."
"I will plan better next time."
