We've all been there. For some stupid reason unknown to man, your school decided to have spring break 2 weeks later than every other school in the country. Okay, maybe not...but it definitely seems like it. All your friends have left you for warm weather, beaches, adventures, and awesome vacations while you're stuck in school. You have a ton of homework because midterms are coming up so you're stressed to the max. As if that isn't bad enough, you can't go 10 minutes without being reminded that your friends are having more fun than you. Here are 17 relatable thoughts that might run through your mind if your friends are all on Spring Break without you.

1. I hate you all.

Seriously.

2. Everyone is out having fun without me.

*cries*

3. My break is going to be so lame compared to my friends.

They're all out doing cool things across the country and I'm just going to sit at home with my dog watching Netflix.

4. It's so freaking cold outside.

I wish I was on the beach worrying about the sand getting all over rather than shoveling my car out of the unplowed parking lots.

5. And why is it always so windy?

I JUST WANNA BE IN HAWAII.

6. Why is literally everyone somewhere warm???

Every single person I know is on vacation and rubbing it in my face.

7. I wish I could wear shorts outside...

But noooo...I get to wear snow boots. Yippee.

8. Everyone needs to stop snap chatting pictures of palm trees and 80 degree weather.

If I see one more I think I'll probably explode.

9. Oh my god my entire Instagram feed is beaches and sun and fun.

It's so gorgeousssss but it fuels my hate fire.

10. My Instagram is so boring and wintery.

Maybe I should post a throwback to my last trip? Or a cute pic from last summer?

11. WHY IS EVERYONE SO TAN?!

Meanwhile this is what everyone keeps asking me because I match the snow on the ground.

12. Ugh, I need to stop eating so much and start working out more.

Everyone's posting pictures looking like Jillian Michaels and I'm sitting over here looking more like the Michelin Man.

13. Are you kidding me I have so much to do right now!

2 papers, a presentation, 3 quizzes, AND MIDTERMS?!

14. I hope they'll bring me back a cool souvenir.

I can dream okay.

15. Why isn't anyone answering my texts???

I have no friends. They've all forgotten about me.

16. How many days left until Spring Break?

Ha, just kidding. I have a mental countdown down to the hour.

17. I can't wait for payback.

I may be suffering now...but when I go on Spring Break and have tons of fun without them, they'll all be stuck in school hating their life and I'll get my revenge.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
