The University of Alabama. You might love us (which you should), you might hate us (because of football, sorry, roll tide!), but we are an amazing school. There are not even enough words to describe how amazing this past semester has been. But here are 5 reasons why we're the best. And if anyone is torn between Alabama and another school, pick Alabama. You won't regret it.

1. The most important thing I have learned about this semester is football.

Football has to be the first thing I have to talk about. We are a school with an amazing, godly, beastly, amazing football team. 16 national championships and now we just won another SEC championship which makes for 3 consecutive wins in a row now. And Nick Saban is God.

2. Yes, we are a football school, but there is so much more than football.

Game days are great and all but there is so much more to do. We have a HUGE greek system. I can't even tell you how many sororities and fraternities combined we have. And our greek houses are pretty impressive. The brand new Phi Mu chapter house has been featured in the Daily Mail Online, Cosmopolitan, and many other social media websites. It's kind of hard not to showcase the 39,000 square foot house that cost $13 million to build. In addition to greek life, we have over 500 student clubs and organizations on campus.

3. We have a lot of focus on academics, and there are so many different colleges and areas you can focus into.

We have a nursing college, business college, engineering college (just to name a few), and many more. Our nursing school was ranked the 28th best in the country. Now for me, as a nursing major, that is so important.

4. The campus is absolutely beautiful.

Bryant-Denny Stadium, Denny Chimes, The Quad, The Science and Engineering complex, and Marrs Spring are among my favorite places on campus. And lets not forget the greek houses.

5. Everyone finds their little niche here.

70% of students in the 2020 incoming freshmen class were out of state students. It's hard to pack up and go to a college where you don't know anyone, but as time goes on you meet people, some of whom are the most amazing people you will have ever met. There is so much to do on campus, everyone finds a place to fit in.

Sure, we aren't the most *perfect* school in the country, but Alabama was my dream school, and I couldn't imagine going anywhere else. Roll Tide!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

The 5 Painfully True Stages Of Camping Out At The Library

For those long nights that turn into mornings when the struggle is real.

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
