Thoughts Everyone Has While Sitting In Traffic

Road trips can either be fun or the worst time of your life. In order for a road trip to be fun you need some essentials including friends, a good playlist and lots of junk food, but what you don't need is to sit in traffic for hours not moving. Sitting in bumper to bumper traffic is never fun, even if you are with some of your best friends. While sitting in traffic everyone has the exact same thoughts.

1. OK, this is fine, the traffic will pass.

We all have hope that the traffic will only last a few miles, but a few miles of bumper to bumper traffic can take hours. Most times, you are wrong, and the traffic lasts for multiple exits, a.k.a. multiple miles, and you might as well add another two hours to your ETA.

2. Crap, I am really hungry, we should have stopped at that last exit.

If you get hungry during a traffic jam, you are SOL, because you most likely won't be eating for at least an hour and that hour is going to go by very slowly.

3. Crap, I really have to pee.

Well again, you are SOL, because you are definitely going to have to hold that pee in for a while -- well, maybe. You have three options when this happens: pee on the side of the road and hope that nobody sees you; pee in a bottle; or hold it in.

4. Why can I not pick a song that I enjoy?

For some reason when you are sitting in traffic, you can never find a song you enjoy. You end up skipping 10 songs until you finally find a song that you sort of enjoy that you listen to for 1 minute and then end up skipping another 10 songs.

5. OK, great, so my friends can fall asleep, but I have to stay up

This is definitely the worst part of road trips. You've been sitting in traffic for over an hour, and slowly your friends are falling asleep, but you have to stay up bored out of your mind.

6. Should I make friends with the driver next to me?

This is definitely my favorite thing to do while in traffic. Just put on some good music, roll down the window, and start dancing weird with your friends. The driver next to you will definitely enjoy themselves...well their snapchat friends will definitely enjoy themselves.

7. Finally! We are moving again.

OK, traffic jam is over. Time to go 95 mph so we can try to get to our destination somewhat on time.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
