The week we have been waiting for since school started back in January is almost here. Christmas Break was a wonderful, much-needed, month long relaxing vacation. And although summer is still pretty far and we still have finals to face, spring break is finally upon us! All anyone is talking about is spring break and thats all anyones mind is going to. However, I am pretty sure that every teacher decided that this week would be a perfect week to give all of their exams even some on the same day (good thing I have three on Wednesday)! So instead of getting to focus on the fun times we will have whether it's at home or at the beach, we get to spend the week before spring break panicking and trying to study for a huge amount of exams. Here are some thoughts every college student has the week before spring break:

"I can't wait to go home, I can't wait to go home!"

For most, home isn't just 5-10 minutes away from where you are going to school. That's why lots of college students (especially first years) take advantage of the week of to go home and see their families! I know going to school 2 hours away is hard to be away from my parents and sister especially for so long. Oh, and getting to see my puppy will definitely be the highlight of my week! It is hard not to want to go home and just relax in your own bed for a week; sounds like a perfect spring break to me!

When all of your teachers schedule all of your exams on the same day.

I really got lucky with all my professors this semester. They are all very understanding and really help to teach the material which has helped me to so far have a very successful semester. However, with that being said, them being considerate teachers, they all thought it would be nice to make the exam the Wednesday before spring break instead of the Friday. However, that now leads me to having 3 exams on Wednesday all within 3 hours of each other! So while most will be losing sleep over getting to go to the beach in 2 days, I'll be losing sleep by studying just like every other college student will be during the week!

"I haven't had time to start my spring break workout, but I swear I'm starting today."

Oh, the cliche, "spring break beach bod". I won't be going to the beach this spring break so I am not as worried on this one as others are. However, I have heard everything From girls who started their "diets" weeks ago and to those others who are still getting ready to begin days before they leave. It is said so much, especially this week before classes and also adds in to the extra stress of this week before break.

Getting carried away in your thoughts of where you'll be just a week from today.

Just the idea that you will get to be on the beach reading a book, discovering a new town, or just hanging with your family and friends at home is a relaxing thought. Through months of stressful school work, getting that week to have a second to just breathe and not stress about everything going on in your life at the moment is wonderful. It's like letting your brain "nap" and take a break for an entire week!

That feeling when you finally get out of your last class on Friday and get to leave.

Of course you'll be coming back to campus in just a little over a week, but the time off sounds so amazing right now, you can't even think about how little the time is compared to other breaks. Everyone have a fun, safe, and relaxing spring break and begin the countdown until summer break!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
