2. OK, don't be awkward. Don't be awkward.

3. I'm being really awkward.

4. Oh, you're from Arkansas.

5. I can't relate to that in the slightest.

6. What are we even talking about?

7. How did we even start talking about infomercials? Why am I loving it?

8. This chick is cool. I like her.

9. Am I being funny or is she just laughing so it’s not awkward?

10. It’s just so loud.

11. What round is this?

16. Did I just mess up the rotation?

17. Yep … I messed that up. “I just wanted to show you the kitchen, AGAIN."

18. Do. Not. Fall. Left foot, right foot.

19. Well, my voice just vanished.

20. Do you think I sound like Brooke Davis? No?

21. Her outfit is cute. Why was I was never this well-dressed as a freshman?

22. Do you think she noticed how out of breath I was from giving that house tour?

23. I wonder how many calories I burned.

24. Wait, is this the girl I creeped on via all her social media? YEP. And you have a chocolate lab …

25. Act like you didn’t know that.

26. You have a twin? I have a twin! Wow, what a coincidence … I wonder how that happened?

27. I’m starving.

28. How long till we eat?

PHILANTHROPY NIGHT

32. Where am I going? *Try not to look frantic*

33. WHERE TF IS LIZ?

40. BUT THANKS!

PREFERENCE NIGHT

41. I put on waterproof mascara right? I am so emotional, this is so sad. *ugly cry42. Is there a proper way I can I tell you I love you without coming on too strong?

43. BE MY SISTER … please.

44. WOW, I love my sorority.

45. I love it SO MUCH!

46. Thank god I found this place.

47. More singing, more crying.

48. DO NOT WALK OUT WITH THAT NAPKIN “Oh here, let me take that napkin for you.”

BID DAY

49. Finally no more wedges!!

50. I'M SO HAPPY! I don’t even care if I still don’t have a voice and sound like a man!

51. Look at all these little ones running to us!

52. AHH, you’re all so cute!

53. They have so many friends already, how?

54. I was so awkward on bid day. Why aren’t they awkward?

55. Finally. FREEDOM. I CAN SLEEP. I CAN EAT!

56. I’m not doing anything for a week! A month!

57. Just kidding, we have chapter tonight.

All in all, recruitment is an experience that is one-of-a-kind. Some people hate it, and some people live for it. Remember to be yourself and show what your sorority truly is all about under what can seemingly look like a superficial process from the outside. It was only a few years ago you were going through recruitment yourself. Remember the bonds that you have created and why you joined in the first place.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs.
