It's that time of the year again! Christmas trees, Christmas cookies, Christmas movies, and who can forget the Christmas gifts? I love seeing gifts underneath the Christmas tree however, when it comes to actually buying those gifts, the STRUGGLE IS REAL. Here are a few things that go through my mind when I'm at the store, wandering around looking like a lost puppy.
1. "Can I actually afford this right now?"
As a college student, I sometimes actually question whether or not I can afford to purchase things.
2. "Oh my goodness. I don't know my friends as well as I thought!"
There are so many things in the store and you're never sure if your friends are going to absolutely love or absolutely hate what you get them. SO MUCH STRESS.
3. "I'll just put everything in the cart and decide later."
Since you're never 100% sure what to buy people, this is what you do approximately 100% of the time.
4. "This is soooo cute! I'm getting one for myself!"
My girl Hannah really understands this one.
5. "It's the thought that counts."
Well, you did your best.
Christmas shopping can be stressful. Just remember that Christmas isn't all about the presents. As Dr. Seuss once said, "Maybe Christmas," he thought, doesn't come from a store. "Maybe Christmas... perhaps... means a little bit more!"
