Thoughts About Changing Things In Life

Change isn't always a bad thing, and you can do it at any time.

I recently came across a post on Tumblr that outright stated that anyone can just change what they're doing in their life at any time. It was a very short post, but it really got me thinking that you can change something you don't like about your life right this very second, because why not?

Do you want to start a hobby that you've always wanted to do? Go for it. Do you have a toxic person or habit in your life? Get rid of it! It's your life and you can change it's path at any time.

I feel like people don't acknowledge this way of thinking that often because they're often caught up in their own lives trying to keep everything in order or keep everyone happy and they're just on repeat.

Of course I'm guilty of this too, but even so, it's just nice to know and have in the back of my mind that I can change anything in my life whenever I want.

I think you start to live your life to the fullest when you can think this way, and not only think it, but put those thoughts into action.

I know it's easier said then done, but it doesn't have to be anything big like dropping everything to hop on a plane somewhere. It can be as simple as rearranging the furniture in your house or stop putting salt on your food (or heck, start putting salt on your food).

You can live a completely different, and maybe even happier, life when you change it up a bit. It's something to do and it keeps life interesting.

You. Can. Do. Anything!

I think the Tumblr post that started all this thinking didn't actually start it, but just brought it to the forefront of my brain and made it more tangible.

I think I've always had these thoughts of changing, especially lately seeing my aunt and cousin start their own little side businesses doing the things they love. Not to mention, they each have a couple decades or so on me (let me follow that up with I love you and I'm sorry because I know you both read my articles). My point is that you can start at any stage in your life.

I'm 23 years old and I'm currently on a gap year of sorts just to relax, get my health under control, and figure out what's going on and what I want to do with the rest of my life. This is the most perfect time to start changing things. I can get rid of friends if I wanted to, I could go traveling, I could go back to school, I could start taking dance classes, I could move away, I could quit my job and start a new one, I could adopt a pet...and who says you couldn't do the same?

Like I said before, even if you don't do anything right now, or even later on, isn't it just a great feeling knowing that you can?

The Battle Between College And My Mental Health

College isn't easy, and I'm afraid I'm not going to make it at the rate my mental health is going.

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?

For the average 20-something, life moves pretty fast. You’ve got classes, friends, relationships, jobs, family, and whatever else we overcommit ourselves with. I probably should have learned to say no to adding more to my schedule a long time ago, but instead here are 11 things that can be more helpful than coffee.

Resting b***h face. Defined as a person, usually a girl, who naturally looks mean when her face is expressionless, without meaning to. Many of you suffer from this "condition." You are commonly asked what's wrong, when nothing is. What people don't know is that is just your facial expression. Here are some things they wish you knew.
