Well, it's almost that time. Family Thanksgiving. It's the time where family gets together to eat wonderfully splendid food; and yet, that food doesn't always make up for the awkward conversations or the uncomfortable feelings that can spring up when all of your family is in one seemingly tight room for an entire day. There's bound to be questions you'd rather not answer, and topics you'd rather not discuss, but family is family and we love them anyway. Here are some thoughts I have before the entire event unfolds.
1. God, please don't let them ask me if I'm dating anyone.
2. If the word 'president' even comes up... I'm leaving.
3. Please Sweet Jesus, let there be macaroni and cheese there.
4. Do I actually have to look nice just to sit at a table and eat?
5. What are actually supposed to do in a house for the entire day?
6. I bet I'll still be eating at the kid's table... and, I'm in college.
7. Well, I guess I better prepare for an interview about how school is going.
8. Is it acceptable to just take the entire bowl of mashed potatoes? Because, I definitely will.
9. Please no politic talk. Please.
10. I probably need to brush up on my Monopoly skills.
11. And, Yahtzee.
12. Probably need to figure out more card games to play, too.
13. I can't wait for homemade food.
14. I don't care how much weight I gain, I am DIGGING IN.
15. Cheese tray, here I come.
