Barnes & Noble, it’s a beautiful place for book lovers. There are all sorts of books to choose from: fiction, non-fiction, fantasy, history, politics, and some of the most bazaar genres you could think of, plus combinations you wouldn’t believe. There’s just a wonderful feeling inside of you when you pick up a book, especially one that you’ve been wanting to read forever. Books take you away to magical and wonderful places, Hogwarts, District 12, beyond the wall, and many other places that have a place in our hearts. For a book lover, there is no such thing as too many books, and no one can tell them otherwise.
There are so many thoughts that go through my head when I walk into Barnes & Noble; sometimes I go there just because of its peaceful atmosphere and I feel at home. Even when I plan on not buying a book, I end up heading home with a bag in my hand, and whether I’m at school or home, someone tends to ask me, “Did you really need another book?”
My reply to my mother is, “Well, it could be drugs.”
Here are the thoughts I have while at Barnes and Noble.
“Okay, don’t buy any books, if any, just one.”
“Oh! Best sellers, do I have any of these on my wish list?”
“So-and-so came out with a new book?”
“Don’t go to the YA section, don’t go to the YA section…”
-Walks over to the YA section-
“Why is James Dashner’s new novel $18.00?!”
“Hardcovers are beautiful.” –Strokes book-
“So if this book is $10.99, and I get a 10% off, that means it’ll be… Damn I suck at math.”
“Why am I here?”
“RED QUEEN IS IN PAPER BACK?!”
“I should definitely not pre-order the Fantastic Beasts screenplay, buuuut….”
“When did I get three books in my hands?”
“Buy 2 get 1 free?!”
“Walk away, walk away…”
-Leaves store with more than one book like they promised themselves... and a Starbucks.-
