Father’s day is quickly approaching. Like me, you are probably struggling to find a last minute gift, a clever card and a way to show your old man how much you love him. In the daily lives of millennials, it’s easy to forget your father. We are all super busy with work, school, friends, socializing, traveling and hobbies. Family might not be the first thing on our minds, but it should always be prominent. Sometimes you just have to think, without you father, your life wouldn't be as busy as it is. He is the man that raised you, taught you right from wrong, and motivated you to become the person you are today.

Without my father, I wouldn’t have gotten to see the world. Having a father with wanderlust has enabled me to visit some amazing places. Because of him, I have been all over the United States, Canada, Mexico, the Netherlands, France, Argentina, and more. He’s taught me to really take in my surroundings, pay attention to the location’s history, and of course, try all of the ethnic food I can.

Without my father, I would be technologically challenged. Every time the TV stops working or my wifi wont connect, I can always count on him to help me out. He seems to know everything about the technological world. One time, he was able to salvage everything from my laptop that completely crashed.

Without my father, I wouldn’t be as money smart as I am. He’s taught me the value of the dollar and that money doesn’t grow on trees. I’ve learned that he works extremely hard for what he earns and to not take advantage of it. Because of him, I always go to Amazon to find the best price for my purchase and always check the reviews to make sure it’s well worth my money.

Without my father, my pop culture knowledge wouldn’t be as strong. I grew up listening to his CDs of Michael Jackson and The Beatles, and also watching DVDs of all the Peanuts movies. He has also introduced me to my love of theater. Even though I cried watching Phantom of the Opera, one of my first Broadway shows, I’ve learned to love each and every one he has taken me to.

Without my father, I wouldn’t be as family oriented as I am. Ever since I can remember I have been going to frequent lunches and dinners at my grandparents’ and cousins’ houses. Not to mention, multiple vacations and cruises with my entire extended family. He’s taught me that family is always there for me no matter what, and I should be proud of that.

My father is basically the glue that holds my family together. He always seems to know what he’s doing, and it always happens to be the right thing to do. The one exception to this is on road trips, when he thinks he doesn’t need to ask for directions (and then we get lost for two hours), but in fact he really should have. He is one of the most important figures in my life, and I couldn’t be more thankful. I have never met a more loving, reliable, intelligent, comical person. Even though I may be a little distant when things in life get busy, it doesn’t mean I don’t love my father any less. He deserves way more recognition than just one day dedicated to him.

Father’s day is quickly approaching, even though you're busy, don’t forget to tell your pop you love him.

Christmas Tree

Now that Halloween is over, it's time to focus on the Holiday Season. Don't get me wrong, I think Thanksgiving is great and can't wait for it, but nothing gives me greater joy than watching Freeform's 25 Days of Christmas, lighting peppermint scented candles, decking the halls, and baking gingerbread cookies. So while we approach the greatest time of the year, let's watch the 15 best Christmas movies of all time.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

Being pre-med is quite a journey. It’s not easy juggling school work, extracurricular activities, volunteering, shadowing, research, and MCAT prep all at the same time. Ever heard of “pain is temporary, but GPA is forever?” Pre-meds don’t just embody that motto; we live and breathe it. Here are 10 symptoms you’re down with the pre-med student syndrome.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
