We all have that Chapter in Scripture that stands out from the rest; wether it's just a sorter part of the chapter or its just something that we found significant in the chapter itself, something that's meaningful to us. Today, I am going to focus on one of my favorite chapters in the Bible; Romans 8 and the great promises that are addressed within the chapter.
Romans 8:5-6, "For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the spirit, set their minds on the things of the spirit."
This passage of scripture is a great reminder that sometimes we need to focus less on our desires and redirect our paths with his desires and his plans for our lives. It is so easy to get caught up with the things of this world and not turn our full focus on the things of the Spirit. I think it is important as Christians to set our minds on things of the Spirit.
My next verse from this chapter is Romans 8:24-25, "For in hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees."
Hope is the key to determination. Without hope there would be nothing and we would feel nothing. Bit is with hope that we are able to feel like we can achieve something. That we are aware of what ever the outcome may lead us to. God will always be there because we know we can hope for the best. Never loose that hope even when you think you can't see it.
Romans 8:28, "And we know all things work together for the good for those who love the Lord."
We all know this one. Or at least have seen it before. But it is important to look back on this verse and realize how significant it really is. God can and will work everything out for the good of those who love him. We only need to be still. Because it's not always easy but definitely will come to us when the time is right.
Lastly, Romans 8:31, "When, then, can we say in response to these things. If out God is for us, who can be against."
Even when it may feel like theres no one else beside you during difficult times. God is and he will stay with you no matter what the outcome of the situation may be.
