I Thought You Were A Christian

Sometimes, even as christians, we go through hard times and lose our way

You can't get it right all the time.
I know I don't live as I should everyday.
Harsh language spills from my lips, I get angry, I hold out on forgiving others, sometimes I lie, and indulge in things I know aren't good.
I pray that these sinful flaws I have will be changed, but until then it doesn't make me less of a believer or child of God.

Sometimes, even as christians, we go through hard times and lose our way.
I lost my way.
It doesn't mean we aren't still believers or trying to walk the right path.
God still seeks out our heart and still loves us though we do wrong.
For even when we were sinners he still loved us.

"But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners"
Romans 5:8 NLT

Jesus lived the life we never could.
He lived in a sinful world and died a perfect man as a sacrifice for us.
He took on the full wrath of God, we all deserve, so that we could live freely in relationship with him and walk in forgiveness and grace.

Christians are human.
We all have sinful desires and all commit sin daily.
Bring perfect isn't what the Christian life is about.
We are to be examples of God's love and grace to others.
Meant to share his truth to the ends of the Earth.

We all fail and fall short of the glory of God. None are exempt.

"For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God freely and graciously declares that we are righteous. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins."
Romans 3:23-24 NLT

It can be easy to say, I thought you were a christian, when someone fails, but the right thing to do is come along side them in love and help them through their battle.

I'm serious

There are tons of unisex names that are popular: Taylor, Alex, Bailey, etc. There are also numerous names that are used for both sexes, but they’re not seen as “unisex” yet. People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.

I'm an anthropology major, and I love every minute of it. I couldn't tell you why, but I guess there's just something about studying different lifestyles that absolutely fascinates me. But anthropology majors definitely have our weird sides, especially when you go to a school that is filled with mostly Business and Bio majors. But us weirdos definitely have a lot in common, specifically these 16 things.

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.
