Time for a well-deserved break, reuniting with those you missed and with those who you don't necessarily miss. Although it sounds horrible, you know it's true; whether it be those you went to high school with or your family members that will attack you about your future, you know that there's someone you don't particularly look forward to seeing.
Your best friends come back from school, the excitement is indescribable. Seeing some of them for the first time since Columbus Day doesn't seem too long ago; for me, it feels like it's been a different lifetime. Laughing, reminiscing and filling each other in on the newest drama and news is the highlight of our break. Though we've been away from each other for so long, it's like we never left.
Going to parties with friends we graduated with is bittersweet. We haven't had seen them since August, some since graduation so that reunion is always a blast. We don't realize how much these people influenced you while growing up, and when you're back home...it immediately hits you.
Thanksgiving break sometimes feels like a tease. Professors end your last class before break with "have a nice thanksgiving break;" in reality I'll be in the library Friday-Sunday doing work. Finals are just around the corner so that means you're in the homestretch to an even longer break and reunion with your friends! A whole entire month of freedom, fun and more catching up.
This semester flew by, but at the same time, can it hurry up for three more weeks? I'm exhausted, my brain is fried, and I'm ready for a well-deserved break where school isn't a thought or a concern.
Thanksgiving is so nice and so looked forward to. It goes by quickly but it is so enjoyed.
