Pop rock duo, Josh and Cooper Mayer have just came out with another crazy, exciting track "Violet. The brothers are used to putting out addicting and infectious material, as they are no strangers to the Australian music charts as of late. But this track comes across as a different animal from the usual syrupy guitar patterns and sunny piano/electronic arrangements they have presented in previous tracks such as "Staying Inside" and "Coward. Instead, "Violet" takes us in a different musical soundscape with infectious harder guitar grooves and more atmospheric electronic elements. The energy is still present but a different kind with its sultry vocals and harmonies accompanied to a harder sound that hasn't really been present in previous releases.
