Have you ever been called, "too nice"? Does it seem like people love to walk all over you? To feel more than you think isn't a flaw, and it's an inconvenience to no one but yourself. It doesn't mean you're stupid; in fact, it means you're wise enough to realize that there is a reason behind all the pain in the world. You understand. Some may think it's a weakness, but I'll tell you how it can be your biggest strength.
It's easy to get angry and hate. Judgement comes naturally. You who feel, you absorb others' negativity and wear it as your own. When people cast angry glare, you don't glare back, you only wonder why. If someone lashes out at you, you wonder ask hurt them. To understand isn't easy, especially when it comes to understanding those who aren't kind.
When those close to you hurt you, you can't stay mad, no matter how much they deserve it. Your love extends beyond actions. But this can slowly damage you.
The inability to hold others accountable is costly. And one day you'll learn that sometimes you have to do what doesn't come naturally- you must get angry. You must demand as much from others as you do from yourself. You must realize that not everyone is good, and certain individuals don't deserve compassion. This turning point is hard, but everything gets easier afterwards.
You are still kind and loving, but now you've learned to love yourself. You wouldn't allow someone to treat a friend with disrespect, so why let others do it to you? There is only one thing more noble than loving unconditionally, and it's possessing unyielding self respect AND love. With only respect for yourself, you're cold, and with only love for others, heartache is inevitable. You cannot have one without the other.
However, once you find both, you cannot be stopped. Because nothing is stronger than a person who has both loved and hurt deeply.
