Let's just talk about Thomas Rhett for a second. I've heard a lot of talk about Thomas Rhett and how he's this amazing singer, husband, father, and man. Every girl wants their (future) boyfriend to be like Thomas Rhett. They compare their boyfriends/husbands to Thomas Rhett. They compare their relationships to Thomas Rhett and Lauren Akins's relationship.

Thomas Rhett, imma let you finish, but Luke Bryan is still the greatest country singer of this generation. And here's why.

1. He always puts on a good show.

Whether you see him live, in a music video, or in a concert video that you find on YouTube, Luke Bryan never fails to disappoint. He's an incredible performer who knows how to entertain.

2. He's famous enough, but he still sticks to his roots.

He lives in Nashville, TN, with his wife and two sons (and nephew). He doesn't make headlines and rarely makes bad publicity.

3. He's charitable.

He's also a part of numerous charities, including City of Hope and Red Cross. He supports other local charities as well.

4. He's a family man.

Like Thomas Rhett, but Luke Bryan has been through hell and back. And still pulling off 41 years old. He has two sons with his wife, Caroline Boyer, but adopted his nephew Til when Bryan's sister and brother-in-law died within years apart. His brother also passed away when he was younger, causing Luke Bryan to go through years of heartbreak and grief only to be followed with the sudden and unexpected death of his sister. Luke loves his family and would do anything for them, including stopping his music for a short time to take care of his family.

5. His dad bod.

Every country girl I've talked to has the heart eyes for Luke Bryan. Him shaking his butt in those tight pants of his, making that attractive face whenever he sings, and those tight muscle-tee shirts he wears...what was I talking about again?? I'm pretty sure he still has abs but lemme tell you, girl, Luke Bryan is 41 with three kids and rocking the 41-year-old-dad look.

6. He was in a fraternity.

College girls have a thing with fraternity guys. We either love them or hate them either at the same time or random times of the year. Luke Bryan is the exception - he was a Sigma Chi at Georgia Southern University (where he met his wife). Pretty much now a fan of that fraternity just because Luke Bryan is an alum.

7. He's been around FOREVER.

He keeps making music. He loves what he does. He's longtime friends with pals Billy Currington and Travis Tritt. He's going to be around forever; he's a classic. You might as well just induct him into the Nashville Hall of Fame or whatever. He's made five albums since '07, and currently making his new album "What Makes You Country" set to release in November 2017. I have that date on my calendar I AM SO EXCITED.

8. He has his own brand alongside Duck Dynasty.

OK, I just found this out. But he has a show and brand called "Buck Commander." It's a partnership of "Duck Commander," famously owned by Willie Robertson. There is a show called "Buck Commander" which Luke Bryan stars in along with Willie Robertson, Adam LaRoche, Jason Aldean, and others. It's for the avid hunter, but I would watch that show just because Luke Bryan is in it.

9. He's just... beautiful.

Aside from being caring, generous, a family man, and all his accomplishments, he's just all around attractive. He has that face and charm that brings a girl to her knees. His smile is infectious that it lights up a whole room. He is always laughing despite all the hardships he's had to go through in his life and I just love him for that.

You rock, Luke Bryan.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my personal favorite holidays because of the Christmas traditions my family upholds generation after generation. After talking to a few of my friends at college, I realized that a lot of them don't really have "Christmas traditions" in their family, and I want to help change that. Here's a list of Christmas traditions that my family does, and anyone can incorporate into their family as well!

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
