This Tuesday is Giving Tuesday. Giving Tuesday falls on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving every year, and is meant to be a day spent doing for others. You can give money. You can give your time. You can give of yourself. You simply need to give what you have. Anyone can participate and everyone should!

Here is a list of simple yet kind acts that anyone can do this Giving Tuesday.

1. Ask a stranger how their day is going

2. Pay for someone's coffee

3. Call your grandma

4. Put someone's shopping cart back at the grocery store

5. Reach out to a friend you have lost touch with

6. Pray for someone

7. Bake cookies for your neighbor

8. Smile at the people you walk past

9. Tell your mom about your day

10. Make Christmas cards for soldiers

11. Spend some time with the elderly, sick, and home bound

12. Pick up garbage outside

13. Volunteer at your local animal shelter

14. Do someone else's chores

15. Serve a meal at a soup kitchen

16. Forgive someone who has wronged you

17. Leave an uplifting note on a strangers car

18. Buy dinner for a homeless person

19. Give some of your belongings those who need them

20. Tell someone you love them

The best part is, everyday can be just like Giving Tuesday. It costs nothing to be a good person, yet means everything to the person receiving the gift of your talent, time, or treasure. Give what you can and what you have this Tuesday, and everyday. It's what we are called to do.

Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the LORD your God which He has given you. -Deuteronomy 16:17

I'm an anthropology major, and I love every minute of it. I couldn't tell you why, but I guess there's just something about studying different lifestyles that absolutely fascinates me. But anthropology majors definitely have our weird sides, especially when you go to a school that is filled with mostly Business and Bio majors. But us weirdos definitely have a lot in common, specifically these 16 things.

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.

Here are the top few things, that I find at least, are some of the most irritating misconceptions that find their way into numerous conversations...

8. "The whole philanthropy thing isn't real, right?"

Well all those fundraisers and marketing should would be a waste then wouldn't they?

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.
