My Faith Has Always Been A Part Of My Life
Prayer

For those who know me, they know me as a person that would not give up on his dream. In life, it should always be that way, but I can not speak for everyone, therefore I can only speak about my life. I was raised by mother, grandmother, aunt and uncles, My dad moved to Florida, but still is active in my life. I have an older brother who calls me his” younger older brother” which means I give him advice. Not only am I a brother, son, uncle, nephew, grandson, but most importantly I am a Child of God. For that reason, I can not give up on my dream in life.

For starters, I always liked going to church with my grandma. From when I was five to even know at the age of 19, I still enjoying being active in my church. The church knows me well and knows that at a young age I walk in the path of God, they know me for my strong beliefs and that my faith is stronger than most younger men. When you know what you want then you let God lead you to the right path.

Not only do I thank my mom, dad, grandmothers for supporting me through my journey, but I have to mention, Ms. Sandra Knight. Ms. Knight was a grandma to and the reason I wrote about her in my article after she died. Ms.Knight not only treated me like another grandson, but she encouraged me to keep walking in the path of God. Always praying for me and telling me to be strong. She knew as you get older it is easy to slip away from the goals, but Ms.Knight telling you that keeping God in your life will always remind you of what you are suppose to doing in life.

Finding God at such a young age, and remembering his word that he teaches us how to live, motivates me to do better and be a better person. I may not have everything, but knowing God’s riches and glory mean much more than anything. I trust him, even when things go wrong and I have to start with a plan B. My life it is based on giving up, it is based on one day telling my testimony and how God brought be over to bigger and better things in life. That God will lead me to make it in life. That I am a conqueror.

In conclusion, my life it not based on seeing what party to go to next, what can I do to try and impress my friends. It is being the person God created and wants me to. I like creating new material, like my youtube channel, writing for Odyssey and helping someone else in need. My life might sound boring, but God has a plan for me and I will stick with that plan. When I was born, I did not have to make it out of the hospital after I came out and was found not breathing, but since I am I truly am proud to worship God and not give up on my dreams of what he wants me to be! This is my life.

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.
