One of my favorite seasons would definitely be summer followed extremely close by fall. As we are plowing through the depths of winter, it definitely brings up many feelings about summer and what I miss the most about it. Here is my top list of what I miss the most and look forward to in just a few short months.

1. The Warm Days

One of my favorite things about summer is that I don't have to drag around a jacket and pretty much wear whatever I want without being worried about being cold.Even if it rains, it doesn't really bother me because my clothes will most likely be dry soon because they are a nice summer weight.

2. Bon Fires

A fun activity that I love about summer is the endless possibilities of bonfires that there are to go to. There is nothing like being with good friends and talking and maybe even making smores! And It is so nice being under the stars to look up while you are enjoying the night.

3. The Longer Daylight Hours

This is a huge advantage during the week, especially on the weekends because I am not going out when it is dark. I have time to actually do fun activities during the daylight like kayaking, swimming, hiking, or anything else that I can't do while it is dark out. This makes it so nice too because I am not driving to work in the dark or coming home at sunset and makes me a more positive person throughout the day.

4. The Fairs and Festivals and Concerts

I definitely love going to all of the fairs and festivals because there is the good food to eat and rides to go on. And with fairs, there are typically concerts with some really good music. I also run into people that I haven't seen in a while and get to say hi if it a local fair, which is sometimes nice.

5. Having All Of The Windows Open Anywhere

Another nice thing that I love about the warm weather is that you get to air out your car and house and let all of the nice warm air in. I love doing this because I feel it gets out all of the old stale air out and welcomes new fresh air for me to enjoy.

6. Ice Cream

One of my favorite things is to go on an ice cream run for no reason. I absolutely love going to get ice cream at new places and going to my favored places. I also love seeing if any of the places have any new flavors that they didn't have the previous year.

7. People in General

I feel that in the summer time that people tend to be a bit more laid back and happier because they are outside enjoying themselves instead of being cooped up in their houses all the time.

8. (because eight is great) THE BEACH

Last, but not least, my absolute favorite thing is going to the beach.

These are my top favorite things that I miss about summer and can't wait to do when summer rolls around! Just keep your favorite things and maybe winter will go super fast this year!

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

It's not all morning coffees and singing along to the radio.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!
