College is weird especially if you do not feel fully comfortable with your major or your plans for the future. If you are a senior this year and thought about going to law school, but hesitant if you will even make it. Do not freak out - law school is not for everyone and it is alright. Law school does not require for students to have degrees focused in law, be different and explore the different courses offered at your school. Feel confident about your major and honestly imagine yourself in law. Question the work load, the amount of time focused studying intensively the cases and the textbooks.

Realistically, law school is not like "Legally Blonde," in fact, law school will probably make you want to cry and question all your life decisions. Plus, with the different specialties within law it opens your perspectives in this career. Know your passion, sit down and research the schools and specializations. Have a honest conversation with colleagues, professors, or even friends to help you narrow your decisions. Additionally, not choosing law school does not make weak besides it shows that you understand where your passions lie and you can project that energy into something you will truly enjoy.

Being a lawyer may not make you personally happy. If you want to go to law school for your parents, don't bother. Do not do something to please others — follow your dreams and if that so happens to be law then fantastic! There are countless stories from people who regretted law school because they felt like they had to accomplish something; however, the opposite could be said from people who enjoyed their experience in law and all the challenges it came with.

Of course, law is not easy and will not be an easy journey. It comes with the challenges and the cold calls even the weird curving grading system. If you are a senior and junior now, make a decision, start studying or applying. However, if you feel unsure still take a gap year. There is no shame in that, you can study longer and ace the LSAT with confidence without feeling pressured.

Law school has its pros and cons, but it is something that you need to feel confident about. Do the research and put in the work! Find schools that cater to your need. Don't stress and plan ahead!

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
