What is the point of following what a group does? What is the point of falling into the same thoughts as the group? Why be afraid to think for yourself or stand on your own? Don't you think it is time to break apart and show who you really are?

It is easy for people to into what a collective of individuals will do or fall into the same thoughts as them. Many people follow what a group does. For example if one person is joking about how different one person is then more than likely they will all start to make fun of that person. Many people are easily swayed into doing what everyone else is doing because it seems like the thing to do, or don't want to feel alone, or they are just insecure. Another example is if everyone else is drinking then a person may join in just because everyone else is doing it. There are many problems with this, but a few stick out. If you follow what everyone else is doing then you may not really know you are because all you did was follow what everyone else was doing. That thought may hit you someday, or maybe you all ready had your suspicions. Another problem is that you are giving up your free mind to be chained down to whatever group. You aren't really free if it was not your choice to begin with. The last problem I wish to speak on is the fact that if you do blindly follow what a group does then you may even get into some trouble. The type of trouble you may not walk away from in one peace, or lose someone.

Many times at the center of the group is just one person that everyone thought knew what to do or had all the answers that we seek in this world. One of the things we all share is that we are lost and are always looking for answers. We want to know why things are the way they are or why something happened, or what we should be doing. If it seems that person can provide the answers or knows what to do then people follow. They just become clones or sheep to that one individual. Social media, traditional media, or peers do not have all the answers you are looking for. It is like we are all actors and actresses playing the main roles in our own lives, but if you choose to always be a persons double then you aren't playing a part in your own play. Your part is set on their stage and not your own. You are your own book, so don't let media or some person control you to write what they want you to write. One of the things a person can do or media can do is help guide you to know and be yourself on a deeper level than before. Things like self growth, and learning are lifelong. Don't be afraid to take that step back and go off on your own.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
