Children can come up with the craziest ideas and ask the most unexpected questions such as, “How do chickens fit in those tiny eggs,” or “The Easter Bunny poops jelly beans.” We were kids at one point, maybe some of us are still kids, maybe some of us have kids of our own. Regardless, everyone knows what I am talking about. That’s just the beginning. Here’s my list of what we think about as a child:
1. Pink cows make pink milk
I used to believe that white milk came from white cows and chocolate milk came from brown cows. So I was always looking for the pink cows that produced the strawberry milk. Hey, child’s logic.
2. Where do babies come from?
Don’t cry clouds! Let me sing rainy time songs to make you feel better.
I am going to meet the real Spongebob Squarepants and Bugs Bunny.
I have an ouchy here, an owie there, a sore here…
It’s gone! I’m never getting it back! I’m going to cry until you make it reappear.
All I have to do is flap my wings like the birds and the bees.
10. When I grow up I want to become…
A princess, a superhero, Taylor Swift… the list only grows.
You could care less about the words. You just want the pictures.
I can get my own pop and make my own food, but I can’t even tie my own shoes yet.
It must be 100 feet deep and the length of three football fields!
