Coming home from college for break is bittersweet. You are nervous but yet, you are so happy and content with it. You have so many thoughts about what you’re going to do and what you need to do. Here are wight things you probably think to yourself during that time at home.

1. Did Mom make dinner?

There isn't anything better than coming home to food on the stove that your Momma made. You have been living off the cafe and ramen for the past two weeks because you used all your money on your school card.

2. Where’s my fur baby?

You walk in the door and the first thing you see is your favorite fur baby. All you want to do is lay and cuddle. You've been living off everyone else's fur babies that are on campus or at your local pet store.

3. Where’s my best friend?

You have left your best friend for four months at least, and you're completely lost. You expect them to be at your house right when you get there. They most likely are, but if they aren't, they will be in the next hour or so. Missing your best friend is just as bad as missing your family.

4. How did I ever get by with a twin size bed?

Your twin bed is getting pretty old by this point. It's nice to lay in your own bed and sprawl out. It still has conforms to your body like it always has, unlike your school bed. You also don't have to climb up or down stairs to get to your bed.

5. What place should we eat at first?

You now have gone four months living off Cookout when you went out to eat because you were broke. Now you can go anywhere you want because your parents are paying. Those favorite restaurants you crave are finally now within driving distance. You don't even know what to do with yourself and all the good food you're about to eat.

6. What's my roomie up to?

You've eaten almost every meal with this person. You have spent late nights complaining about going to class the next day. You've shared a bathroom and learned the select times to take showers and now you have your shower all to yourself.

7. Should I take on more hours at work?

I am a broke college student and I need some hours. I can't get a job at school because I have too much going on so this at home job is my only hope to make some money. I need the money to pay for good food instead of Cookout all the time. But who am I kidding, it will probably still go to Cookout.

8. Do I need to bring these clothes back?

Living off of sweats and tshirts makes you think that you may need to bring back some normal clothes back to school. But then you get to thinking, Am I actually going to wear them? Probably not. Even though I have so many cute clothes and I wish I could wear them but that’s a lot of work to put into an outfit. My sweats are cute, right?

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
