Snow Day!

Things You Do When It's Snowing

Who doesn’t love a snow day? You don’t have to go into work or school, all you have to do is sit back and relax while Mother Nature does her thing. Maybe you are planning on doing a few of these things:

Shovel

Sadly, the only ‘work’ that has to be done on a snow day. I mean, I don’t have to do it (sorry, bro) but I know it is not fun. But maybe you can earn some extra money shoveling a neighbor’s driveway.

Build a snowman

Yes, I went there. Even if you're10 or 20 years old, you still want to participate in building one or maybe a whole little family of snow people.

Have a snowball fight

Who wouldn’t enjoy pelting your sibling in the back with a giant snow ball? Building forts in the back yard or hiding behind furniture to escape the snowballs is something you have been doing since you were a little kid, so why stop now?

Take your pets outside in the snow

You will get an overload of cuteness with this one. They get so excited when they see it falling from the sky. Just make sure they stay warm after all the fun of running and rolling around in it.

Going sledding

Find the biggest hill in your town and just keep sliding down it. Just try not to knock down any little kids while you’re there, you don’t want to make them cry on their snow day.

Drink hot chocolate

Forget the coffee to keep you warm, heat up a nice cup of hot chocolate after all the fun in the snow. Maybe add some whipped cream, cinnamon, maybe some chunks of candy on top, whatever your heart desires.

Enjoy your snow day guys!

I'll never forget the day that someone told me these words: "Madison, I think you're a good friend to everyone but yourself." I stood there completely in awe of that statement. Before that day, I never really thought about being a friend to myself, and at the time, I didn't really know what it meant. Now, I realize that you can't fully be there for other people unless you're there for yourself, too. You can't show up for others until you're willing to show up for yourself.

Here are five things everyone should learn in order to be a better friend to themselves. These steps are hard, but they're so worth it.

We all have a love hate relationship with winter, lets be real here. The snow makes people forget how to drive, its cold, the roads are bad, and chances are, you will be spending a lot more money than you do during the other months of the year. If you’re from the Midwest, it seems to be that winter lasts for what feels like forever. But despite the struggles that winter brings, there are so many things to love about it.

The Post Thanksgiving Panic And Anxiety

It happens to all of us, the weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas the catch up with you.

Thanksgiving Break is most likely everyone’s favorite break during the fall semester. You get to go home and reminisce with all your high school friends. That diet you’ve been on for the past month goes out the window, and you get to eat until you put yourself into a food coma. There’s no rush on homework and you can just lie in bed and Netflix to your heart’s content. To me that sounds like an ideally wonderful break, and totally stress-free.
