We all have those days when you just want to eat some ice cream and watch something sad that gives you all the feels. Here are a list of 5 videos, television shows, and movies that will surely tug at your heartstrings.

1. P.S. I Love You

One of the most heart-wrenching films ever, period. When a young woman has to navigate grief and being a widow after her husband passes away, there are countless opportunities for tears in this film.

2. Talent Show Auditions

I'm telling you, whether it be American Idol. America's Got Talent, or The Voice, there is always an emotional audition that ends with success and progression to the next round and that makes for the perfect emotional vid. From the heartbreak or happiness that comes from the story before the audition to the heart-wrenching audition itself, and then the pure elation when the person finds out they made it so much raw emotion!

I find myself so excited for these people I have never met.

3. Grey's Anatomy

Do I even need to explain this one? I cannot recommend watching the entire series in order enough, because it makes each gut-wrenching episode, that much more emotional.

4. The Last Song

A classic from childhood, this forbidden love story full of drama, tragedy, and heartbreak will fill your heart with all sorts of feelings of happy and sad. Not to mention, the couple is Miley and Liam, who are married now IRL.

5. Law and Order: Special Victims Unit

Intense episodes one after another, tackling tough subjects involving sexual assault cases. You will become attached to the detectives and the risky situations they put themselves in, along with victims, their tragic stories, and how they overcome the obstacles and trials.

April Ludgate, historically, is a very annoyed person, and she doesn't hide it. Of all the times that I binged and re-binged "Parks and Rec," her attitude relates more and more to me.

Ask friends of mine to name a quality about me, and one a lot them will point out the fact that I am almost always smiling. I like to laugh and smile -- not to quote Buddy the Elf in April, but smiling is my favorite! It is probably my favorite go-to expression. I have days when smiling and laughing is a real struggle, or when I have so much on my plate that going out of my way to behappy takes more effort than I have stored in me. Be it a symptom of college and growing up or a facet of life, I cannot always be content.
