There are so many things that I miss.

Things We Took Advantage Of When We Were Kids

When we were kids, we were totally different than we are now. We didn’t understand the concepts of what was really important in life. The only thing that hasn’t changed for me is hating homework, but everything else, I wish was still around. We took such advantage of these things, ugh, tbt.

1. Seeing your parents every day

2. Nap time

This one is most important. I am extremely sorry for never wanting to nap

3. All your meals being prepared for you

4. And with love, all the time, whenever you want

5. Your groceries being bought for you

6. Your laundry being washed for you

7. Your room being cleaned for you

8. Your sheets being changed for you

9. Being chauffeured around everywhere

10. Being acceptable (and even encouraged) to go to bed at 8 PM

Really miss this one.

11. Falling asleep in the car and being carried to bed

12. “Homework”

13. Our parents flip phones

14. The games on our parent’s flip phones

SNAAAAKE!

15. Your parents throwing you birthday parties

Hello, piñatas!

16. Prizes when you behave well in school

17. Getting straight A’s

18. Free textbooks

19. Or, no textbooks

20. All the good TV channels

21. Hello, Tivo, TBT!! Step it up college living.

22. Not having mandatory novels

Really, really miss this.

23. Random days of school cancelled

The last time they cancelled college was 3 years ago for snow. Hello we need rest!!!

So, now I am just sitting here, wishing I could go back to the good ole' days and really missing my parents and living at home.

12 Things To Do On A Snow Day

Everyone loves a snow day! Whether you decide to call out sick from work or your classes get canceled, it is a great way to spend time with family and friends.

1. Build a snowman

April Ludgate
NBC Universal

Everyone who is in college right now, or has ever been, knows the struggle of pulling in the strings at the last second. It seems impossible, and you have to do a LOT of things in order to assure your future for the next semester.

April Ludgate, historically, is a very annoyed person, and she doesn't hide it. Of all the times that I binged and re-binged "Parks and Rec," her attitude relates more and more to me.

To The Cheerful Person On Their Rainy Days, You Are Valid

The world is not always sunshine and rainbows, and you do not have to be, either.

Ask friends of mine to name a quality about me, and one a lot them will point out the fact that I am almost always smiling. I like to laugh and smile -- not to quote Buddy the Elf in April, but smiling is my favorite! It is probably my favorite go-to expression. However, what a lot of people do not see is that I have my down days. I have days when smiling and laughing is a real struggle, or when I have so much on my plate that going out of my way to behappy takes more effort than I have stored in me. Be it a symptom of college and growing up or a facet of life, I cannot always be content.

Amidst my hectic college career, I always find time for one thing, even on the busiest weeks: Parks and Recreation. This show has made me laugh and has made me cry, but most of all I have related to this show more than I would like to admit.
