I'm not saying every girl in the world wants all of these things. I'm just here to give my opinions on the things I know I would want my boyfriend to do for me during the relationship whether it's been for six months or twenty-five years. Young or old, a new or old relationship, it's the little things that really matter to us.

1. Actually Meet Our Parents.

Actually meet them in person, call them by Mr and Mrs *insert whatever your last name is*. Yeah, it's cool to add them to social media but there's nothing better than seeing your significant other, shake your dad's hand when they first meet and if things go pretty good, every time they see each other they will do it every time they see each other.

2. When We Go On Dates Open The Door For Us.

Whether it's just opening the door to the entrance of the movie theater to open the door for us or if it's opening the car door for us, we want you to open the door for us.

3. Stop With The "I'm here" Texts.

We get it, you're at our house but how about you actually come to the door and walk us to the car like a gentleman. I get it, we could have places to be are on a tight schedule but every once in awhile, it would be nice for you to come to the door and get us.

4. Bring Us Flowers.

I'm not saying all the time. But every once in awhile a nice little surprise with our favorite flowers would be super duper cute and such a romantic gesture. I'm not a big flower person but there's nothing more cute and romantic than my boyfriend showing up to my workplace or college after a long day/week with sunflowers and roses.

5. Sex.

I'm going to keep it short and sweet, but seriously stop expecting to get laid all the time. A relationship is more than just sex.

6. Call Us.

We live in this stage of non-stop texting but honestly receiving phone calls every once in awhile is always a great thing. It's always nice to have those verbal conversations rather than sending stupid emojis all the time to each other.

7. Take Us On Dates.

It doesn't have to be another fancy. Moes is one of my favorite places mostly because it's ten times better than those "Netflix and Chill" dates. I know I would much rather spend quality time eating and talking about our days that sitting on a couch or bed fighting over what to exactly watch for hours and hours.

8. Offer Your Jacket/Hoodie To Us When It's Cold.

Seems real old school but seriously, when it's cold out and your thing we aren't warm enough, give us your hoodie or jacket. You might not get back for awhile but it's the thought that counts.

9. Compliment Us.

I shouldn't have to say this but I do because some guys don't really get the idea of complimenting their significant others. If we get all dolled up, tell us we look good. If we have nothing but an old pair of sweats and a hoodie, tell us we look good or if you're anything like my boyfriend you'll tell jokingly tell me I look like shit.

10. Leave Us Little Notes.

Feels like we are back in the third grade, writing cute little notes and giving them to your crush. It may be the 21st century but it's still nice to get a little note handed to you saying that you love us or whatever you want to write.

11. Say What You Actually Mean, And Mean What You Say.

It's pretty hard to do so but tell us what you actually mean. And when you tells us something important such saying, "I love you" or anything sentimental along those lines, we want you to actually mean it.

12. Tell Us Your Intentions From The Beginning.

If you have no intentions on staying around for a long time then tell us in the beginning so we don't waste our time with you.

13. Take Pictures With Us.

Don't make us force you all the time to take cute silly pictures with us.

14. Show Us Off.

It probably sounds silly but show us off. Nothing makes us happier than knowing that you are proud to have us as your girlfriend/significant other. Post those silly Instagram and Facebook "#WCW" posts every Wednesday. Hold our hands when we are hanging out with your friends so everyone knows that we are yours.

This list may be a little silly but we live in a society where a lot of this stuff doesn't happen anymore. Chivalry is dead, hate to break it to you but we need it back soon. Hopefully this little list can help you with your relationship and brighten your girlfriend or significant others day.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

It's not all morning coffees and singing along to the radio.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!
