Hello all! It's me back with some of those handy dandy life tips. Whether you care or not, here I go.

On top of asking all the hard-hitting questions you should ask your landlord when you finally find a place (peep that article, link provided another topic that is quite important to take seriously is actually touring the apartment (or house). No worries, you all have me, your semi-dysfunctional tour guide.

1.

The first thing you're going to notice when you're looking at your new place is the area surrounding it. Take into consideration if this is an area you could see yourself in. Do you feel safe? Crime rate? Is there a highway near it? A farm?

2.

Once you're in the building, similar to the outside, see if you can imagine yourself living there. Does it have the little perks you were hoping for? Whether that's a pool, community room, gym or even if the laundry is in your unit or if there's a specific room for laundry. Also, check the security. How do people buzz in? Can people just enter the building? Now, how do you get into the building? Does it take a key? Or an electronic fob?

3.

Now, once you're actually in the apartment itself, take a peek at the security for your room. Is there one lock? Two? Do they look updated? What does it take to get into the room? Just a key? Or a code? Electronic fob? These are hard hitting questions people.

4.

Looking for the apartment itself, do you like the room layout and the apartment layout. Trying to figure out how thin the walls are is always a plus. if you live in a complex that has kids and dogs, it's always nice to know if they'll be keeping you up late or waking you up early. One big thing I've come to love is when you have a washer and dryer in the apartment itself AND it doesn't request paying in quarters to use it! Spending two dollars to wash clothes may not seem like a lot, but if you're anything like me, and have a lot of clothes before you know it, you've spent close to $40 on just washing clothes not counting your soap.

5.

WIFI! Find out about that wifi. Does the building itself have wifi? If they do, you might even want to think about getting your own, depending on how many people are in the building, wifi tends to be slow with everyone on it.

Once you have gone ahead and either liked all that you have and then asked all the questions you need, it's safe to say you can make your choice. Keep in mind you are allowed to be a little bit picky! If there's one thing the complex doesn't have to offer and it's something important to you, keep looking. Finding the right place for you is so insanely important. Whether it's for six months or six years.

Happy Hunting! If you have any tips and tricks comment them below!

xoxo

Creating your schedule for the upcoming semester can be an exciting process. You have the control to decide if you want to have class two-days a week or five-days a week. You get to check things off of your requirement checklist. It's an opportunity for a fresh start with new classes (which you tell yourself you'll never skip.) This process, which always starts out so optimistic, can get frustrating really quickly. Here are 25 thoughts you have when registering for classes.

10 Thoughts Of A 5th Year Senior

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.

11 Times Aubrey Plaza Described Sophomore Year

"I don't want to do things. I want to do not things."

Aubrey Plaza is one of my favorite humans in Hollywood. She's honest, blunt, unapologetic, and hilarious. I just started my sophomore year of college, and found that some of her best moments can accurately describe the start of the school year.

1. When your advisor tells you that you should declare a major soon.

2. Seeing the lost and confused freshmen and remembering that was you a short year ago, and now being grateful you know the ins and outs of the campus.

3. Going to the involvement fair to sign up for more clubs knowing that you are already too involved.

4. When you actually do the reading required for the first class.

5. Seeing your friends for the first time since last semester.

6. When you're already drowning in homework during syllabus week.

7. Realizing you don't have the same excitement for classes as you did as a freshman.

8. Going home and seeing people from high school gets weirder the older you get.
