It is Christmas season which means it is the season to give. It also means that there is so much to do and time to be able to spend with your family. With everything going on this Christmas, it is important to know and take advantage of these opportunities.

Here are a few things to do this Christmas:

Christmas Lights and Trees

Christmas is not Christmas without Christmas trees and lights. Buying and decorating a Christmas tree is a good investment and brings in the Holiday spirit. There is nothing like the smell of a Christmas tree. Also, there are many Christmas lights attractions such as Fantasy In Lights at Callaway Gardens and the Atlanta Botanical Gardens.

Shopping


Whether you are shopping for family and friends or for yourself, there are awesome deals at your favorite stores to get your favorite items. This is the perfect time to get the important things that you need.

Family


It is the holidays and there is nothing like spending time with family. Catch up with your cousins, uncles and aunts and relish the moment.

Preparing for the New Year


It is always great to make New Years Resolutions but it is important to make small but important ones that you know you can easily achieve. It can be simple things such as saving small amounts of money for the New Year, eating healthier meals or willing yourself to try different things.

Every year and holiday is special. These are a few things we can keep in mind to make sure we have a nice and safe Christmas and New Year.

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?
