Things to keep in mind

So, lately I have felt like I'm just in this state of mind where I don't know what to do and if I'm doing things right or messing everything up. I don't think I'm the only person out there who feels "stuck" for lack of a better word. Feeling stuck is completely normal, but it's the things you do to unstick yourself that change your life. So what I'm going to share with all of the world are the words that keep me going.

The first set that I love is "Silence is the most powerful scream". Sometimes saying nothing at all has more of an effect on people and yourself than 1,000 words. By choosing not to speak you aren't giving up. In fact sometimes it shows that you are finally standing up. Not everything people say changes the world. But I've learned by taking a moment and not vocalizing what you have to say, you can take a moment and hear what somebody else has to say. So often people find themselves talking and getting wrapped up in what they are trying to say. Well why don't we just say it. Or don't. Find out what happens when you give somebody else the chance to speak.

The most important thing that I have learned is that you can't do everything on your own. I'm the type of person who tries to balance a million things on my own shoulders. I get told all of the time that I'm a strong person. Well, sometimes you can only be so strong. We all have some sort of support system and it doesn't show weakness. If anything it shows that we have people to lean on when things ge hectic. I'm happy that I realized this. I began to feel burnt out until I found help. I'm thankful for the people in my life who support me no matter what.

Sometimes, people in your life just aren't worth the stress they cause. This doesn't mean you have to cut them out of your life, but if it's a toxic relationship that's not fair to you either. You deserve so much better than that. If they want to walk out of your life show them the door, but don't let them treat you like the welcome mat. If they left there's usually a reason why. I'm usually all for welcoming the world in my arms, but once you leave me I have a hard time when you come back.

And above all It's never too late to be who you want. If you're not proud of the person you are only you hold the power to change. This is your life. Live it for you. Be proud of the person you are. And if you're not it's not too late. You still have time. Remember the best is yet to come. Only time can tell what will happen. Things don't just happen over night, it takes time to change.

But remember, you have nobody to impress but yourself. Live your life for yourself. I think people are good, but it's the things that happen in life that makes them act otherwise. That being said, be the good.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Blair Waldorf
Stop Hollywood

For those of you who have watched "Gossip Girl" before (and maybe more than just once), you know how important of a character Blair Waldorf is. Without Blair, the show doesn’t have any substance, scheme, or drama. Although the beginning of the show started off with Blair’s best friend Serena returning from boarding school, there just simply is no plot without Blair. With that being said, Blair’s presence in the show in much more complex than that. Her independent and go-getter ways have set an example for "Gossip Girl" fans since the show started and has not ended even years after the show ended. Blair never needed another person to define who she was and she certainly didn’t need a man to do that for her. When she envisioned a goal, she sought after it, and took it. This is why Blair’s demeanor encompasses strong women like her.

singing
Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
