It's finally that time: the middle of the semester. You're far enough into your courses that you have a vague idea what they're about, but you're too far into skip the reading/homework and wing it in class. You'll probably set out to do a lot of homework and get ahead, but first, you will do every other thing you can think of like ...
Clean something
The first thing you're thinking of is your room, but think bigger than that. What about your car? When was the last time it got vacuumed? Clean your clothes too, then fold them, and put them away. CLEAN YOUR BATHROOM. Seriously, when was the last time you cleaned it? Go get some gloves (maybe a hazmat suit) and get to scrubbing. If you have a pet, go ahead and give them a bath too.
Rebrand yourself on social media
One of the first things a career advisor will tell you to do is to make sure you have a positive online presence. These days, most companies will search your name on Facebook, Twitter, etc., and the last thing they need to see is that embarrassing middle school picture or the rant you went on at 3AM.
Organize your computer files
It's like cleaning your room, but a little less important. It will make you feel so much better knowing all of your photos and documents are in the right files.
Get in the kitchen
Maybe 3AM before your big test is the perfect time to start meal prepping. Break out the grilled chicken and veggies and make your healthy meals for the week. Maybe you'd rather bake cookies. Go ahead! Take them to your professor and maybe they'll go easier on your grade.
Write for Odyssey
If you complete everything on the list, write for Odyssey! (or just go ahead and apply now) It's a great way to get your important ideas and silly thoughts heard.
